How Tokyo Toybox Turned a Dream into a Destination

When Taylor and Joe were ready to take their online success in the gaming and anime community to the next level, Hull Property Group’s American Dream Project helped make it happen. Through this small business initiative, HPG partnered with the owners to open Tokyo Toybox in the Blue Ridge Mall during the holiday season, transforming their dream of a first brick-and-mortar store into reality. ​


The store’s immediate success in Hendersonville, NC, led to incredible growth. HPG supported their expansion into a larger space, giving Taylor and Joe the room to keep building their community. Today, Tokyo Toybox thrives as a local destination for gamers, anime and K-Pop fans, and anyone looking for a touch of nostalgia (and maybe a few Japanese snacks, too!). ​


From helping secure the perfect retail space to fostering long-term growth, HPG is proud to have played a part in Tokyo Toybox’s journey from convention booths to a beloved hometown hub.
