Large-Scale Redevelopment

RACINE • WISCONSIN

A Little Demo Goes a Long Way

Demolition may look like the opposite of growth, but HPG knows that preparing sites for what’s next is an important step toward long-term success.

In Racine, WI, HPG and its in-house construction team, Gemini, tore down approximately 400,000 square feet of former department store space as Phase 1 of HPG’s $120 million investment in Regency Mall. This work cleared the way for a 200,000+ square foot Woodman’s Market, an employee-owned grocery chain headquartered in Wisconsin.

The new development not only reenergized the property but also brought more than 300 jobs to the local economy, a powerful example of transformation that starts with a clean slate.
