Events occur throughout the year and use the Mall’s common areas to engage, entertain and inspire the community. Our City READS: Recognition Night
MAY
The READS Program partners with local elementary schools to host two events that inspire student readers. Held at the end of the school year, the READS Recognition Night honors students who met their reading goals during a special ceremony. Students can find their name on the Wall of Recognition and receive a certificate from special guests.
The Summer Showcase
JULY
The Summer Showcase celebrates local food, entertainment, recreation, health, services and more. Businesses come together and fill the Mall to promote what is right here in our community. The event concludes with the presentation of the City Favorites as voted on by the community in each category.
Our City READS: Spirit Night
SEPTEMBER
The READS Program partners with local elementary schools to host two events that inspire student readers. The READS Spirit Night is held at the beginning of the school year and is a fun night out filled with reading games and prizes. The Mall donates $1 to the school’s library for every attending student.
